HELP! I can't stop making quilt tops!

As many of you know, I am fairly new to quilting. Well, I love to make the quilt top part and then I have a hard time finishing them!
Am I the only one with this problem?

Anyways, here are the three I've made this month:

Needful Things raggedy heart pattern quilt {fabric moda bake shop aviary}.

Thimble blossoms Sassafrass pattern using Moda Basic Grey fabrics.

...and right now I am working on this super cool disappearing nine patch pattern {fabric is Sweetwater's brand new "authentic" line that you will LOVE!).

Mom, please help me finish and bind these!

Yeah, I have the same problem, and I am a machine quilter! I'm too busy finishing everyone else's quilts to finish my own!

Fun quilts!

You know what I do? Send them home with my mom and grandma along with a speech about how cool it will be to have had ALL 3 generations work on the same quilt. So far, they've fallen for it.

I am not sure where you live - I just looked at the last few visitors and they are all from Utah - so.... I assume you live in that area?

In SLC (Cottonwood Heights area) there is a quilt shop called "Elaine's Quilt Shop" off of 215, the 6200 exit - that will do it for you. You can choose any stitch design you want. I made a quilt top for my son - kind of a surfing theme - I had Elaine's do a 'hibiscus' quilting pattern. It turned out amazing. I was able to customize the quilt top - but didn't have to do all the heavy labor! Trust me - I've been there, done that - unless you are an expert quilter - I'd leave it to the professionals. LOL

I love Elaine's - every time I come into town I hit that shop. They have amazing fabric, classes and their staff is so knowledgeable (SP?) If you are not in SLC - I am sure you can find a quilting shop anywhere - just google it!

They are BEAUTIFUL! I have never attempted quilting. I just keep BUYING fabric to make my girls dresses, skirts, booties, tops, etc... It's a horrible addiction that I love:)

i have the same problem!!! Picking out the patterns, fabric, and seeing it go together is the most fun part! I utterly HATE binding.

I have the same problem, at least now I know I am not the only one. I think that you should do a unfinshed quilt challange and see who has the most unfinished tops, then who can finish the most in a certin amount of time. I would be willing to sponser a prize!!!!

Yes I have the SAME problem! The quilt top to my son's baby quilt is waiting to be quilted and bound as we speak. Hopefully I will finish it before he comes in 3 weeks!

I have the same problem finishing as well soooo... I just send them over to my sister who has a longarm quilting machine and she finishes them right up. It's her business. She has people send her stuff from all over the US. Here's her sight if anyone is interested
